Most wearable health research has been built around adults. Children and adolescents remain far less represented, even though continuous biometric monitoring could be especially valuable during these years.

HaloScape has begun a clinical research collaboration with Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa focused on wearable-based biometric monitoring in pediatric and adolescent populations.

Led by Dr. Hazal Cansu Çulpan, the study will examine how biometric data from wearables can be used and interpreted in younger populations, helping build evidence in an area where validated research is still limited.

Closing an Important Research Gap

Wearable data is increasingly used to understand sleep, activity, cardiovascular signals and other aspects of everyday health. Much of the evidence behind those applications, however, comes from adult populations.

This study focuses specifically on children and adolescents.

HaloScape is providing funding and material support for the research while maintaining full scientific independence for the academic team.

The work also connects directly with the technology behind HaloScape: bringing data from different health sources together and determining when those signals can produce information that is genuinely useful.

For RealWorks Global, this collaboration adds Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa, one of Türkiye’s established medical institutions, to HaloScape’s growing clinical research network.

We are looking forward to sharing more as the study progresses.
