HaloScape and Canary Speech Partner on Voice Biomarkers

A strategic collaboration bringing vocal biomarker technology into HaloScape’s health intelligence platform — alongside a new clinical research program validating voice biomarkers in Turkish.

HaloScape and Canary Speech Partner on Voice Biomarkers

A person’s voice carries information that a wearable cannot capture.

That is why HaloScape has entered a strategic collaboration with Canary Speech, a U.S.-based company specializing in vocal biomarker technology. The partnership brings voice analysis into HaloScape’s health intelligence platform and launches a new clinical research program focused on validating vocal biomarkers in Turkish.

For us at RealWorks Global, this partnership adds an important new signal to the technology we are building around HaloScape.

Adding Voice to the Health Picture

HaloScape already brings together information from wearables, connected devices, lab results, medical records, and biomarkers.

Voice adds something different.

It can be captured without an additional device and can provide signals related to areas such as mood, stress, vocal energy, wellness, and mild cognitive impairment. Through the collaboration, Canary Speech’s voice analysis technology will be integrated into HaloScape’s sandbox environment.

On the consumer side, voice can sit alongside the everyday signals HaloScape already collects.

On the clinical side, HaloSight can surface voice-derived information together with wearable, laboratory, and imaging data, giving clinicians additional context around the patient.

This is exactly the direction we want HaloScape to move in: bringing more relevant health signals into one analytical foundation, then testing whether those signals can contribute meaningful information for the individual and the clinician.

From Integration to Clinical Validation

The partnership goes beyond adding a new feature.

HaloScape and Canary Speech are also establishing an ethics committee-approved clinical research program to validate voice biomarkers in the Turkish language.

The first study will focus on vocal biomarkers associated with Generalized Anxiety Disorder and Major Depressive Disorder. The research will bring voice data together with wearable biometrics and clinical scale scores within the same analytical structure.

That validation work is critical.

A signal that performs well in one language or population cannot simply be assumed to behave identically somewhere else. HaloScape’s approach is to test these technologies in the populations where they are intended to be used and build the evidence before expanding them further.

Canary Speech brings more than a decade of work in vocal biomarkers to that process, including over 20 scientific publications and clinical studies. HaloScape, meanwhile, has launched nine IRB-approved clinical studies across several medical fields within its first six months of research activity.

Expanding What HaloScape Can Understand

For RealWorks Global, the significance of this collaboration is very practical.

HaloScape is being built to understand health from multiple sources instead of relying on a single device or dataset. Every validated signal gives the platform another piece of context.

Voice is now becoming part of that picture.

Together with Canary Speech, the HaloScape team will work to determine where vocal biomarkers can add meaningful clinical value and how they can be combined with continuous health data already available across the platform.

It is an important step in the continued development of HaloScape and in our broader work to build health intelligence grounded in real-world data and clinical validation.
